Acting Intensive classes starting in December
(Nov 30th – Jan 8th)
AUDITION FOR FILM & TV
Tue – 10am to 1pm
A dynamic course that deals with all aspects of Film and Television Auditions; including establishing place and character, basic scene breakdown into units of action, and emotional preparation. The student will explore the physical adjustments necessary for the camera, how to control facial expressions; how to transition from stage to film and how to get used to the frame. The course includes scripts from sitcoms, soaps, television dramas and films.

FUNDAMENTALS OF IMPROV
Fri – 2:45pm to 5:45pm
A course designed to give the students the necessary tools to create scenarios alone and with others in a spontaneous manner. These tools will sharpen the actor’s memory and develop the actor’s ability to take risks. This course is a must for all auditions, teaching the actor to think and act quickly while taking adjustments and being present and alive for every moment.

INTRO TO MEISNER
Mon & Thurs – 9:30am to 11:30am
Based upon some of the original theories of the great Russian teacher-director Constantine Stanislavsky, the Meisner Technique is a systematic and methodical approach to bringing the artist back to his emotional impulses and to acting that is firmly rooted in the instinctive. The Meisner Technique builds a solid acting methodology through a series of vigorous exercises. The artist will develop the fundamental skills of trusting one’s instincts, applying the use of objectives, working moment to moment, and the ability to authentically listen. Students use the imaginary world to be emotionally full and expressive. Each student’s individuality, spontaneity, and theatricality are enriched. An invaluable course for an artist; as the study of Art, in its purest form, is the study of self.

Los Angeles Performing Arts Conservatory, also known as LAPAC, is a fine arts academy dedicated to teaching acting, screenwriting, and filmmaking. Offering Degrees and Certificates
LAPAC is an accredited fine arts college offering 2-year degree programs where students can earn an Associate of Occupational Science – Acting or an Associate of Occupational Science – Screenwriting. LAPAC also offers a variety of certificate programs for acting, filmmaking, and screenwriting. All of our courses are designed to ensure the artist receives a well rounded education from the classic to the contemporary to the avant-garde.

Our students come to us with a variety of skill levels, from absolute beginners to seasoned professionals. No matter what your level of experience is, LAPAC can help you achieve your creative goals.
Small Classes, Personal Attention
Unlike other acting schools, LAPAC keeps its class sizes small so that students receive personalized, individual instruction. We believe a successful artistic education is only possible if students and instructors work together closely.
Student Visas Available for International Students
LAPAC is accredited to accept international students with F1 visas. You will find some other acting schools offer M1 student visas. For many students, the F1 student visa is preferable because it allows more flexibility and even the ability to get a job under certain circumstances.
